I was on this cruise and it was wonderful. (Or should that be Magical since we were on the Magic, not the Wonder?)
The seas were a little rough once we got into the Gulf of Mexico, but weren’t that bad. The passage through the canal was amazing, it was the first time through for everyone in our party.
The drinks of the day were all good, the shows in the Walt Disney Theater were fun, and we enjoyed the talks given in the Buena Vista theater by Dr. Fisher. They were all fascinating. The shows by Taylor Mason and Eric Jones had us laughing more than we expected.

Hi, Mark Since you were just on the Magic, may I ask you about the ship? I have been hearing about problems with the air conditioning and the plumbing. We were thinking of going on the Magic since we love the classic ships, but now we are hesitant. TIA

      Hi Jo,
I too was on the Magic for the Eastbound Panama Cruise. We (my wife and I) did have some issues with the plumbing: shower drain was not draining very well; hot water was not the hottest at times. The draining issue was taken care of right away. The hot water wasn’t enough of an issue for me to complain even though I was taking 2 showers each day. I’m sure if I had said something, it would have been addressed immediately. Realize that this ship is over 25 years old. With the rough seas, and they were really rough, it was creaking and moaning which to us added to the experience. There are plenty of things I could nit-pick, but to us that would be counterproductive to enjoying the cruise. DCL does a great job of keeping everything clean and repaired. Every turn, there is a “Minion” (I know, not Disney) hard at work. We had a great time with memories for ever.
      Hope this helps.

Thank you. Glad you had a great time. We were on the Fantasy in December. The wind and the waves were pretty strong and the ship felt like the ones built before they put in these new types of stabilizers. Like you, however, it added to our experience. We never had to ask each other, “Our we moving yet”?
