The Disney Dream, the third ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet in 2011 was built at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany. Jennifer Hudson was name the godmother of the Disney Dream during a christening ceremony at Port Canaveral on January 19, 2011 ahead of the Maiden Voyage on January 26th.
The bow features none other than the captain himself, Captain Mickey, saluting all passing ships.
The aft name plate is getting some last minute touch ups by Sorcerer Mickey and his mops. The interior design is art deco like many of the past great ocean liners.
