Nassau, Bahamas Port Summary

Nassau is the capital of the Bahamas. It lies on the island of New Providence, with neighboring Paradise Island accessible via Nassau Harbor bridges. A popular cruise-ship stop, the city has a hilly landscape and is known for beaches as well as its offshore coral reefs, popular for diving and snorkeling. It retains many of its typical pastel-colored British colonial buildings, like the pink-hued Government House.

Nassau is one of Disney Cruise Line's most called upon ports, second to Castaway Cay. The line typically visits the Bahamian island twice a week when sailing alternating three and four-night itineraries. Nassau is home to the iconic Atlantis Resort just over the bridge on Paradise Island where many passengers choose to spend a day exploring the aquariums and the trilling water park.

In May 2023, the phase 1 of the port area renovation project will open.
