Thanks to the individual who took the time to screen capture information from the app fo us to share here! Below are some of the notes that they shared.
- Total Passengers: 1443
- Crew: 1400 (TONS of earning my ears cast members, heard they are only being offered 3.5 month contracts and are trying to train extra staff to prepare for the Wish)
- Halloween events spread over 2 days
- Disney Ever After fireworks repeated twice the same night.
- BINGO is offered in paper AND digital consuls, updated from pre covid
- Bingo was the only event I ever saw hit capacity
- There were variety acts but only offered in The Tube, repeated over 2 nights
- Characters during first night in enchanted
- Turtle talk during first animators
- Princesses in royal during second time
- Animation Magic during second time in Animators (take a picture of your placemat drawing before submitting as they are not allowed to hand them back)
- Pirates in dining room on pirate night
- Evening Attire: Had formal and semi formal night along with Pirate and Halloween
- Masks allowed to be removed for characters when a Disney photographer was present, otherwise must be kept on if the character was out without a photographer (AKA appear and wave)
- Drinks and ice cream served to you, open till midnight
- Mini golf, basketball are available just ask a lifeguard
- Shuffleboard available by texting port adventures
- Midship Detective Agency available but only the Villains storyline
- Donald Pool available, 13 person capacity, once it hits 13 a line forms and they blow the whistle every 10 minutes to let new people in – same with Mickey pool but a capacity of 12
- Adult pools and hot tub open with no capacity monitoring
- Puddle funnel open no capacity enforcement
- Side splash pool open posted capacity of 3 but no enforcement
- Mickey waffles available in cabanas, only one type each day, churro or normal
- No pin trading in the shops but boards on stateroom doors were allowed
- The Nightmare Before Christmas sing a scream was there but no longer called sing and scream – just showing of the movie, meet and greet with Jack and Sally BEFORE with them on stage you on ground
- Virtual queue to debark never more than 10 minutes. Not checking them at all, could’ve walked right off
- Crafts/ trivia/ game shows are happening just frequent repeats of the same ones across nights
- Lots of magic shot photography happening, included in digital package
- No paper navigators available, asked guest services – texting guest services works very well – booking appointments for GS or PA a joke. Can just show up as well.
- Masks required INSIDE AND OUTSIDE in Nassau and Cozumel with or without an excursion, strictly enforced
If you have any navigators you would be willing to share, please send me an email. If you would rather upload the files you can use our upload form. Again, still working on a way to best share the information that is currently available without the clear and concise information historically available via the printed navigators.
why can’t they give navigator out at guest services for people whont them. carnival does that
DISNEY SHOULD offer Peronal Navigators at Guest Services for people who want them or make them available on pdf like Carnival Cruise Lines. You pay top dollars and take away stuff from us.
They continue to go with the “saving environment” aspect based on the chat history included.
the environment sham is a joke. are they also stopping all shopping ads and dvc ads?
They can still “save the environment” by providing a pdf copy of the Personal Navigator. In some ways, a set of pdf Navigators would work better because they can be stored easily in the same folders as digital pictures. Plus, they could more easily be shared on the Disney Cruse Blog (no scanning or screen capture required)!
SUPER helpful! I was really glad to hear the basketball courts/shuffleboard/mini-golf are available. I was disappointed to see those weren’t going to be open. I don’t know what my 13 yo son was going to do if he couldn’t shoot hoops for a week! thanks!
yep, hate the navigator in the app.
My sister was on the Disney Dream in January, 2020 prior to covid. At that time, the guests were made aware that DCL was looking to use the Navigator App for the Personal Navigator’s. I personally, prefer the Personal Navigators instead of the App. We will finally be sailing again on November 8th and it will be our 31st cruise with DCL, and can’t wait to be on the ship again. I guess I will have to get used to the APP…better than not sailing at all.
If you want paper navigators, then I suggest folks email DCL directly. The address I have is: guest.communications@disneycruise.com
I have done that. On our recent cruise, there were no other papers left during the sailing. No DVC, No OBB, No sales paperwork.
@S That’s good to hear that they’re being consistent with no extraneous paper materials. The DVC and shopping papers were definitely so unnecessary.
Hard to tell, but the last time I heard, the DVC staff and rebooking teams were not onboard. This could have changed since I last heard, but would be a reason why there are no DVC marketing materials.
On the Oct 2 Fantasy sailing there was staff at the DVC booth but no on for OBB. The DVC team referred us to use the ever popular app to do the OBB
I happened to be in Cozumel on the same day as the Fantasy last week. Masks are “required” in Cozumel, but very few people were wearing them. The only place I saw that being enforced was on the ferry to and from Playa Del Carmen.
Scott – on our sailing there was no one from DVC or OBB on board the Dream (10/8). Guest services said I could do placeholders through the app but could not book a specific sailing on board during our sailing.
There was a salesperson on the ship and she was holding some live events but no paperwork was left in the cabins.
Even the Disney cruise line writing paper and envelopes were not in the rooms though guest services did tell me they had some if we wanted it.
So happy to hear the electronic machines are back for bingo!
Little off topic. I keep reading on other sites that you don’t need a passport. Birth certificates are enough. We have taken 5 Disney cruises each one with bus transfers to the Port. We have always showed our passport before getting on the bus. Last cruise my husband couldn’t find his passport, it was not in the usual wallet place. He was told he needed it before boarding the ship. Thankfully he found it on the bus ride. Passport or no passport on Disney cruises.

Who is Cruise director?
I received a paper navigator but I had to ask several people and it was not easy. I told them the app was having issues and I wanted something I could view ashore. Also the navigator is less pretty and more like an excel spreadsheet, but it works. This was on the Oct 30 Fantasy cruise.
I’ve seen this paper schedule and frankly, that provides almost all the information I’d like to have on any given day of a cruise.
They showed Frozen 3 times but Aladdin only once? That’s a bummer.
