Personal Navigators: 7-Night Alaskan Cruise from Vancouver – June 20, 2016

Personal Navigators, and other handouts from the 7-Night Alaskan Cruise from Vancouver. The Disney Wonder set sail from Vancouver on June 20, 2016. There are additional Personal Navigators from other sailings of this same itinerary for comparison. During this cruise, the ship was under the control of Captain Robert Olmer. The Cruise Director during the sailng was Trent Hitchcock.

As far as we’ve heard the Disney Wonder has still been unable to enter Tracy Arm Fjord and has been sailing the adjacent Endicott Arm to see Dawes Glacier.

As you can see in the photo, the ice is blocking the entrance.

Thank you! This is the first ‘welcome to Vancouver’ letter that’s been posted this year. I’m a planner, so I’m very happy to see all the info for debarkation, breakfast times, etc! Our trip is coming up in a month! So excited!

Not problems, per se, but we also had low expectations. Breakfast buffets were fine. Lunch buffets were ok; sit-down lunches were better. Dinners were generally good overall, though steaks were disappointing.

Trent Hitchcock was the cruise director on the June 20 Alaska cruise. (was on it, saw him every morning and night either on TV, intercom or in the theater)

Sorry to hear that entry into Tracy Arm Fjord has been blocked by ice. There are a number of amazing experiences on the Alaskan itinerary but Tracy Arm Fjord is, by far, the highlight of the entire cruise as you make your way to Mendenhall Glacier.
