VIDEO: Disney Wish Keel Blocks Kiel Canal Conveyance – March 27, 2021

On March 27, 2021, Unimedien captured video of the conveyance of two new Disney Wish‘s keel blocks in the Kiel Canal. The blocks were prefabricated at a shipyard in in Gdynia, Poland and are being towed to the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany.

The following video shows the arrival of the keel blocks in the late afternoon on March 27th in the Kiel Fjord (Germany).

Disney Wish was originally announced for a late 2021 delivery, but due to the pandemic the dates slipped to a spring 2022 delivery with the first sailing slated for Summer 2022. The new class of Disney Cruise vessel will be powered by clean-burning liquefied natural gas.
