Why repeats of the stage shows?
Great question! I’m trying to figure this out myself.
Excellent if you find out please let us know, as we’ll be sailing soon and are wondering if this will happen on our upcoming cruise thanks Scott
My wife asked this on a Disney Cruise Facebook page and got the following answer “I was just on the 10/14 sailing of the Fantasy. We had the shows repeated. I was told that it’s a test. DCL was getting feedback that guests were feeling overwhelmed to try to see and do everything and weren’t able to relax as much thinking they were missing something. So DCL offered the shows on two nights so guests were given a chance to explore other parts of the ship or relax and not feel like they missed out on a show”.
My wife and I going on the Disney Fantasy in February, and have mixed feelings. – Bill
My family was on this cruise and I personally spoke to Natalie about this. She said that they had been receiving feedback from guests that said they would like to have more opportunities to take advantage of the ship’s other amenities without having to miss the shows. They are testing it out to see how it goes. I saw it as an opportunity to see the duplicated shows twice as my kids love theatre.
On a sidebar, she left a very nice handwritten note on my fish and included two trading pins for my girls. Great gesture!
Rob,
Thank you for sharing this information.
More about Natalie: When I took my girls on our last cruise, Natalie arranged for my oldest daughter, who is an avid dancer, to meet with two of the dance captains during an afternoon. It was a great experience for my daughter – who now has dreams of being “friends” with a number of Disney princesses on upcoming cruises. My continued thanks to Natalie for her extra pixie dust!

We just returned yesterday from the Oct 21st sailing and they continued to offer the extra show.
