Disney Cruise Line released their Summer 2024 itineraries today for the fleet which include the first itineraries calling on the cruise line’s new private destination, Lighthouse Point. The stops at Lighthouse Point will almost exclusively be sailing on the Disney Magic from Fort Lauderdale, with 1 sailing offered on the Disney Fantasy from Port Canaveral.
The Disney fleet will be departing from a variety of popular ports across the globe with various summer deployments while extending year round options in Florida from Port Canaveral and Fort Lauderdale.
Today’s release extends the available sail dates for most of the fleet into the last few days of summer 2024.
While Summer 2024 dates were announced today, general booking will not open until Thursday March 30th. The tiered booking period will begin March 27th for Castaway Club Members and some others. The new Castaway Club early booking benefit for Pearl members is NOT part of this release.
- Monday March 27th – Platinum Members, Golden Oak Club Members
- Tuesday March 28th – Gold Castaway Club members
- Wednesday March 29th – Silver Members, Disney Vacation Club Members and Adventures by Disney Insiders
- Thursday March 30th, general public/first time cruisers will be able to book.
If you’re an existing Castaway Club member, simply log in to your account now to verify your Castaway Club status, so you’ll be all set to book on your designated date. Alternatively, you can call (800) 388-4513 starting at 8:00 AM Eastern Time or contact your travel agent.
Castaway Club members can book online beginning Monday! The only caveat is that this is for new bookings only as the website is still not set up to move a placeholder to a new booking. Those types of bookings will still require a phone call.
The following bears repeating, please do NOT try calling today to book; this will just clog up the phone lines and bog down the reservation cast members. There may be people attempting to book an available cruise vacation today.
For those looking for Fall 2024 dates, we anticipate the next release to occur sometime in in May but as late as July based on the historical itinerary release cycle.
Below you will find a breakout by ship, but this is a WORK IN PROGRESS AND INCOMPLETE UNTIL THIS MESSAGE IS UPDATED –. I will be updating the website throughout the day as I load the sailings. New itinerary maps will not be available until I can confirm the port order for the new itineraries when the go on sale next week. The best way to be alerted to updates is by following me on Twitter @TheDCLblog – I will tweet updates as I add the sailings to the website and update this article. At the very end, you will find Disney Cruise Line’s Itinerary Announcement press release.
Disney Cruise Line loaded the summer 2024 sailings to view with pricing. The remainder of this post is a work in progress and will be updated multiple times today as the new sail dates are processed.
Please note, the port order may be different and will be adjusted once the full detailed itineraries are available to view on Disney Cruise Line’s website. There may be a number of conflicts showing at Castaway Cay which will be resolved once the actual itineraries for each sailing are revealed. Missing itinerary maps will also be added next week once the itineraries are verified.
A summary of Summer 2024 opening day prices will be added and a link will appear HERE once published.

First Sailings to Lighthouse Point
In June 2024, Disney Cruise Line will debut its newest Bahamian destination on the island of Eleuthera at Lighthouse Point. Guests sailing aboard the Disney Magic from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, will discover a vibrant beach retreat designed with families in mind, infused with the color and energy of Bahamian artistry, and developed with a commitment to conservation at its core.
A seven-night inaugural sailing aboard the Disney Fantasy from Port Canaveral, Florida, on June 8 will allow guests to be among the first to make a splash in the crystal-clear waters of this new destination at Lighthouse Point. This ultimate Disney Cruise Line island destination itinerary will feature two stops at Lighthouse Point and one day at Castaway Cay. On June 6, a three-night preview cruise on the Disney Magic from Fort Lauderdale will offer a sneak peek of Lighthouse Point with limited access to some areas.
Following the inaugural voyage, Lighthouse Point will be a featured port of call on select three-, four- and five- night sailings to The Bahamas and Caribbean on the Disney Magic out of Fort Lauderdale. These itineraries will vary stops between Lighthouse Point and Castaway Cay, with five special departures including both Disney Cruise Line island destinations.
New European Destinations
Dreams will come to life for Disney Cruise Line guests in summer 2024 as the Disney Dream returns to premier European destinations in the Mediterranean, Greek Isles, British Isles and popular locales in the Norwegian Fjords and Iceland.
These sailings will feature a number of new ports of call, including Valencia, Spain; Haugesund, Norway; and Hamburg, Germany, along with three Mediterranean destinations that will return for the first time since 2014: Catania, Italy; Kusadasi, Turkey; and Valletta, Malta.
Mediterranean and Greek Isles cruises from Barcelona and Civitavecchia (Rome) will range from five to 11 nights, while northern Europe and British Isles sailings will offer itineraries anywhere from three nights to one 12-night voyage that includes the Norwegian fjords, three days in Iceland and an overnight stay in Reykjavik.
Adventures in Alaska
Cruises to Alaska from Vancouver, Canada, will return on the Disney Wonder from May through September 2024, offering more chances for families to experience the natural splendor and adventure of “The Last Frontier” with five-, seven- and nine-night sailings. Majestic wildlife and stunning scenery in iconic places like Juneau, Skagway, Ketchikan and glacier viewing along the Stikine Icecap will blend with Disney’s world-class entertainment, dining and guest service to create a family-friendly vacation that celebrates the spirit of Alaska both on land and on board.
Tropical Escapes to The Bahamas and Caribbean from Port Canaveral
The Disney Fantasy and Disney Wish will travel to sun-kissed islands throughout The Bahamas and Caribbean in summer 2024. All sailings on these Port Canaveral-based ships will feature a visit to Castaway Cay, a picturesque private island oasis in The Bahamas that offers something for everyone in the family, from fun and relaxation to adventurous water activities.
The Disney Wish will feature three- and four-night Bahamian vacations, while the Disney Fantasy will sail to popular ports in the eastern and western Caribbean on seven-night cruises. One five-night Disney Fantasy voyage in July will take families to Nassau with two stops in Castaway Cay, while a special 10-night southern Caribbean sailing will give families another opportunity to visit Lighthouse Point with additional visits to the islands of Antigua, St. Lucia, Dominica, Tortola and Castaway Cay.

What do you think of Disney Cruise Line’s Summer 2024 itinerary announcement? Which sailing do you want to book?
What date will the fantasy stop at lighthouse point? Thanks.
Will need to wait until next week to confirm the actual port order for the sailing in order to get the accurate dates.
I am curious if Pearl will kick in for this or if we won’t see it until after 5/1.
DCL just answered that – no pearl this time. 🙂
Even worse pricing for Europe – but not that enticing itineraries for my schedule… too bad
For the inaugural with lighthouse point in the article it is said june 6th but below and on the page of the cruise the date is june 8th…
There appears to be a preview cruise to lighthouse point June 6-9 (Magic). Then regular rotation starting June 19 on the Magic. Wonder if DVC cruise or something else will fall in between those dates as well.
Scott, what is the best strategy to using a placeholder and purchasing through a travel agent (like Costco)? My experience has been the travel agent sits on hold with Disney for hours, but then their shift ends before they talk to anyone so they “pass it” to the next guy who ends up dropping the ball and you get nothing booked. Should I just try calling Disney myself and purchase through them with the placeholder then transfer it to my travel agent (Costco)?

Scott,
There is a Gap between Transatlantic East bound May 5-18, 2024 and the first 7 night Mediterranean May 25 – June 1, 2024 or did I miss something?
DVC Member Cruise.
Nothing out of Miami for 2024 season? That sounds odd, no? Maybe it is just not fully released yet.
Disney Cruise Line is moving to a second year round home at Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale.
