Palo Brunch Dress Code 20240222

Dress to Impress

Adult-exclusive restaurants aboard Disney Cruise Line ships are elegant dining experiences. Guests are requested to dress in a manner consistent with the restaurant’s sophistication.

Formal or semi-formal attire is recommended. Also permitted is dress-casual attire with a polished look, such as dress pants, jeans in good condition, collared shirts, dressy tops and lifestyle shoes. For brunch at Palo and Palo Steakhouse, dress shorts are acceptable. Clothing such as T-shirts, swimwear and sports attire are not permitted.

Now if I could only get a brunch reservation… There were brunch openings when my booking window opened yet no tables for 2.

That’s unfortunately a known glitch in the system. Even if it shows openings, if your party size doesn’t match the table size, it won’t let you book. Small parties (like 1 and 2) always have this problem because most tables are for 4 people (or more). It’s super annoying. I’ve always had luck asking when I get onboard, though!

We were on a very hot summer sailng many years ago. Hubby was wearing a nice outfit that included dressy shorts. We just hadn’t thought about the dress code. Not a huge deal, he just went back the room quickly and changed. He was a bit hot and grumpy when he got back, but just a blip. I was fine with it until I noticed that as we were wrapping upour brunch, being led to a table was an old guy wearing a tight threadbare t-shirt tucked into old beat up work pant khakis. Literally what my dad would have worn to mow the lawn or work on the car. So hubby dressed very well, but lacking a foot of pants fabric was not okay, but the other guy wearing mowing the lawn clothes was okay because he had that extra stretch of khaki. I truly tell this as a funny story but I did NOT point that man out to hubby.

Lori, if you are referring to taking a no cost brunch because you are Platinum, the size tip is up to you based on the service you received and the food you received. We have 18 sailings and brunches under our belts and have always had excellent food and service. Our tips always started at $20.
