Today, during the Destination D23 “A Celebration of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow” session of the weekends fan event held at Walt Disney World’s Contemporary Resort, Thomas Mazloum, President of Disney Signature Experiences, took the stage to share some updates and to make a few Disney Cruise announcements including the renaming of the Global Dream ship as Disney Adventure and revealing the name of Eleuthera destination as Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.
Additionally, Mazloum shared a look at the construction progress of the Disney Treasure inside Hall 6 of the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany.
I’m assuming that picture of construction is of the Adventure, not the Treasure? (And the fact that Scott got them mixed up kind of shows how the name Adventure isn’t quite so distinctive.)
Okay, I just watched the video and Mazloum says that is the Treasure. How is it possible that there is that much more construction left to go on the Treasure? I would have expected by now just to be wrapping up, not still installing modules.
