Disney Cruise Line is in the process of emailing guests book on the Disney Dream’s July 22, 2023 10-Night Silver Anniversary at Sea Norwegian Fjords and Iceland Cruise from Southampton to share news about the scheduled stop in Isafjordur, Iceland on July 27th. As a result of the unfinished channel and docking area work, the Disney Dream will instead spend the day at sea.
We have recently been made aware that the anticipated work on the approach channel and docking area in Isafjordur, Iceland, will not be completed in time for your sailing. This means that the Disney Dream is unable to safely dock In Isafjordur on Thursday, July 27, 2023, and will spend the day at sea instead
The revised itinerary is as follows:
- Saturday July 22, 2023 – Southampton
- Sunday July 23, 2023 – Cherbourg, France
- Monday July 24, 2023 – At Sea
- Tuesday July 25, 2023 – At Sea
- Wednesday July 26, 2023 – Reykjavik, Iceland
- Thursday July 27, 2023 – At Sea
- Friday July 28, 2023 – Akureyri, Iceland
- Saturday July 29, 2023 – At Sea
- Sunday July 30, 2023 – Alesund, Norway
- Monday July 31, 2023 – At Sea
Tuesday August 1, 2023 – Copenhagen, Denmark (Debarkation)
Why don’t they use tenders at Isafjordur? We just sailed on the Island Princess and used their tenders, we did not dock either.
We docked there a few weeks ago on the Viking Saturn – wonderful port, Vigur Island was one of the best excursions I’ve ever been on. it feels that Disney could have figured this out, but perhaps the Dream is just too big.
