Today, Disney Cruise Line began notifying guests and travel agents with clients booked on upcoming transpacific cruises aboard the Disney Wonder with an itinerary change, more specifically a change in port when visiting Fiji.
Originally, the Disney Wonder’s October 13, 2023 13-Night South Pacific Cruise from Honolulu ending in Sydney, and the February 16, 2024 15-Night South Pacific Cruise from Sydney to Honolulu were scheduled to stop in Lautoka, Fiji this ship will make a stop in the capital city of Suva. According to Disney Cruise Line this port change will provide a more enjoyable experience for guests.

Please forgive what might be a dumb question, but how does “losing a day” work on a cruise like this (Hon to Syd)? We go to bed on Friday and wake up and it’s Sunday? I know I read somewhere in the literature someting about “you lose a day, but not any sunsets!” which just confused me further.
Like changing your clock +/- 1 hour for a time zone change. When you cross the international date line you change it 24 hrs depending on which way you are traveling.
