Earlier this week, the sail date summary pages were enhanced with a calculation for the sailing’s paid in full dates based on length of cruise and stateroom type. For anyone not familiar with the sail date summary pages, when you use the Find Your Cruise search on the left side of the page and click on a specific sailing, a summary of the voyage will be shown. This page has long offered important dates for Castaway Club tiered pre-booking window opening dates along with a plethora of other information specific the sailing such the itinerary map, and links to Personal Navigators from prior sailings of the same itinerary.
For example, let’s take a look at the important dates section of the July 31, 2021 Disney Fantasy sailing, which just happens to be the next DCL Blog Group Cruise. ← click to learn more about the cruise and how to join us.
The enhancement to the Important Dates section was the addition of a calculation for the paid in full dates for non-restricted stateroom categories. Date is plural, as the paid in full date is based on a number of factors. First, there is a difference between Suites & Concierge Staterooms and Non-Suites/Non-Concierge Staterooms. Secondly, there is a difference for length of cruise. Both of these are determined by the following Disney Cruise Line policy which was put into effect for all new bookings starting on September 11, 2018.
Categories | 1 to 5 Nights | 6 Nights or More |
Non-Suites/Non-Concierge Staterooms | 90 days prior to arrival | 120 days prior to arrival |
Suites and Concierge Staterooms | 120 days prior to arrival | 150 days prior to arrival |
But wait, there’s more! Since Disney Cruise Line temporarily relaxed the Paid in Full date to 60-days prior to sailing for guests booked in unrestricted stateroom categories for sailings through May 31, 2021, a special notice will appear.
Please note, the Important Dates are calculated based on the sail date, please verify all dates for your booking with Disney Cruise Line.
This feature has been live for a few days, and seems to be working as expected. However, if you notice any issues, or have any feedback on ways to improve the feature, please let me know.
Where are you finding this Sail Date Summary? When I open DCL, Already Booked, My Disney Cruise, I only see My Reservation, not the Find your Cruise information you are showing.
