Today, Disney Cruise Line quietly released their Fall 2021 itineraries with some new options sprinkled in with familiar fall sailings. As expected the Disney Magic will return from Europe and head first to New York while the Disney Wonder will reposition from Alaska to San Diego before the Panama Canal. The Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy will remain at Port Canaveral offering Bahamian and Caribbean cruises. Most early fall savings are Halloween on the High Seas and most November and December voyages are Very Merrytime avoiding any guesses as to whether the themed cruises will return next year.
Today’s release extends the available sail dates through 2021 allowing guests more selection when navigating through these uncharted waters while possibly looking to reschedule to a later sail date via Disney’s cruise date flexibility offer, as well as, an opportunity to take advantage of opening day pricing for some of the new sail dates.
Although the dates were announced today, general booking will not open until Thursday, July 30th. However, there will be a tiered booking period beginning Monday.
- Monday July 27th – Platinum Castaway Club members & Disney’s Golden Oaks residents
- Tuesday July 28th – Gold Castaway Club members
- Wednesday July 29th – Silver Castaway Club members, Adventures by Disney Insiders, and DVC members who have not previously sailed with DCL
- Thursday July 30th – first time cruisers will be able to book.
If you’re an existing Castaway Club member, simply log in to your account now to verify your Castaway Club status, so you’ll be all set to book on your designated date. Alternatively, you can call (800) 388-4513 starting at 8:00 AM Eastern Time or contact your travel agent.
Golden Oak Club Members should contact Golden Oak Club Member Services, Disney Vacation Club Members wishing to book with points will need to call Member Services at (800) 800-9800. To make a cash-only booking, call Disney Cruise Line at (866) 325-6348. Finally, Adventures by Disney Insiders call (800) 388-4513 – or contact your travel agent.
The following bears repeating, please do NOT try calling today to book; this will just clog up the phone lines and bog down the reservation cast members.
For those looking for Early 2022 dates, I really cannot say as things are different now. However, I would anticipate the next release to occur sometime in September or October if they stick to their historical itinerary release cycle.
Below you will find a breakout by ship, but this is a work in progress. I will be updating the website throughout the day as I load the sailings and upload the new itinerary maps. The best way to be alerted to updates is by following me on Twitter @TheDCLblog – I will tweet updates as they are posted. At the very end, is Disney Cruise Line’s Fall 2021 Itinerary Announcement press release.

What do you think of Disney Cruise Line’s Fall 2021 itinerary announcement? Which sailing do you want to book, are you going to book?
Will be interested in cruising only after I get the virus 19 vaccination shots.
The previous schedule had the last Wonder Alaska cruise Sept 06 – 13, 2021. This announcement has the first Wonder cruise being the repositioning from Vancouver to San Diego on Sept 27, 2021. Any info or guess on what the Wonder is doing in the middle two weeks?
Dry dock is my leading guess.
It will be interesting to see if the current discussions in Key West lead to itinerary changes.
Interesting to see the Westbound TATL via Bahamas instead of Canada. Given the recent itinerary changes due to weather, not that surprising.
Also interesting to see the NYC to San Juan trip via Bermuda instead of PC with a day at Disney, and the trip back from San Juan to Miami via the Dominican Republic.
Western Caribbeans will be busy with Disney ships around Christmas. IF my math is OK, both the Magic and the Wonder will be in Cozumel on December 23rd with the Wonder and the Fantasy trading places on the 24th and the Magic not being too too far in Costa Maya
Disappointed once again no 7 day NY to PC and CC
There seems to be a gap in the Fantasy’s sailings the week of Thanksgiving. Does anyone see where one departs on 11/20/2021? I see the week before and the week after. Thanks!
Hi Kathy,
The Fantasy does not have any gaps in November 2021.

Scott… do you know if we are able to use our current cruise credit (from our cruise cancellation) toward booking one of these cruises or does the credit have to be used before or on our rescheduled cruise. Thanks.
I’m doing a happy dance! I was hoping they’d release the dates soon and here they are!!! Hopefully Panama here I come!
Net week, well be moving our 11/13/20 Very Merrytime to 10/29/21 Halloween on the High Seas and then to WDW for 5 days
Do you think there will be OBB blackouts announced for any of these dates?
Yes, the block out dates are listed in this article.
She just had a dry dock in 2019 in Victoria after the 2019 Alaska cruise season. Another dry dock just 2 years later? Hmmmm……Interesting.
Sharon – I spoke to DCL as I had the same question. The answer I got was yes, cruise credit can be used for Fall 2021 sailings.
So am I. My family had a great time.
I compared a 2021 fall cruise we made before the coronavirus last year to the price today, and for the same date and category, the price was over $400.00 different. DCL told me that my last year quote was still cheaper than if I moved my cancelled cruise for September 2020 with 10% onboard credit to my 2021 Fall cruise . So I had to keep the old reservation and cancel this year reservation and lose my 10% onboard credit. I could not use my 10% onboard credit on my old reservation. As DCL give they get back from raising the prices, with no onboard credits. They make you think they are giving something when actually you are not. Yes I am a DCL member that has never did any other cruise in my life. Platinum members my whole family.🤨
Just a housekeeping note. Scott when you cut and paste info from the DCL site you may want to check their typos. You can’t have a Miami to Port Canaveral cruise unless of course the laws have changed.
I added [sic] to each instance as this is still the case on DCL’s website. I do mention at the beginning of this section that this is a copy of what was posted by DCL.
This is only my second cruise to book as an established Platinum CC member, and I can’t remember from last time. Are they available at midnight ET online or will it be 8 am ET? Thanks for your help!
Rhonda from what I can tell it’s supposed to be 8am. However many have said that if you’re booking online start checking earlier.
Thanks @dragynally!
I really wish Disney would do the CC, PC, KW out of Galveston again…All time best cruises!
