I wonder when Disney is going to let us know where we are going Oct. 21st on the Fantasy. Eastern Carr is still listed.
I called them this week and their response was the itinerary has not changed.
We are booked on the Fantasy for November 4 and we have not received word either. Would like to see what our shore excursion choices are going to be.
How are you supposed to book excursions if you are notified your cruise itinerary changed within 2 weeks?
We are on the Fantasy on Oct. 21, as well.
If I were you, I’d call DCL every day with this exact question.
I sent them an email about a week ago. same typical Disney response.
30 minute wait to talk tp a representative.
that didn’t do any good. same response.
At some point they will need to address the situation – especially if they continue to get the same question from guests booked on the upcoming voyages. I’d also keep an eye on http://www.usviupdate.com for official updates on the recovery efforts in the USVI.
The lack of information from DCL when other cruise lines have altered / cancelled eastern Caribbean cruises into November, and some through the end of the year, is frustrating. With the current reports from the USVI, I’m personally planning on our Nov 4th cruise being modified to Western Caribbean.
St Thomas Port looking to reopen in the next week according to my agent. We are due on Fantasy on 21st also – not sure if there will be the opportunity for any trips 🙁 Concrete information would be nice though – we did the western trip last time but it is still preferable as the Eastern Islands can’t be recovered even if the port shops are open.
Re: Trips – Here is a post-IRMA picture of the destroyed Callwood Rum Distillery in Tortola that we were planning to visit https://www.gofundme.com/4h6c4fs … so even if St Thomas/Tortola are open some investigation would be needed before booking any trips.
Just heard from DCL regarding the fantasy eastern cruise on 21st October. It is being changed to the western itinerary.
Unlike RC who are offering 50% discount on a future booking when changing a cruise entirely, all they are offering is the standard 10% if you book another on the ship. They are offering to bump the cruise to 2018 without penalty but that is of no help to us, flying in from the UK for it who have already been on the western itinerary last time.
We are still looking forward to it immensely but we won’t sail with DCL again with RC being much cheaper for almost as good standards, and are providing much better compensation when things go wrong rather than passing it all onto the guests.
Looking at those Navigator it doesn’t show a formal night….only a semi formal night. Has formal night gone away…it is usually the second night on a 7 day cruise. Second day is listed as cruise casual attire.
MJ
That was my mistake. The Sunday navigator correctly lists Formal attire.
