Within the past week, the Summertime Freeze structure has been receiving some of the finishing touches including the installation of the Summertime Freeze Menu complete with all the specialty drinks and the Olaf photo op. Additional props and signage have also been installed around the new structure. It was just a few weeks back we shared some early photos of Summertime Freeze, the new Frozen inspired frozen drink location being built at Castaway Cay. I would like to start off by thanking Cristy Nelson for sharing these photos.
Summertime Freeze Frozen Drink Menu
Pricing for the Summertime Freeze specialty drinks will be noted when we receive further information. For sake of comparison, Frozone Treats aboard the ship offers smoothies between $3.95 and $5.25. UPDATE: Drinks are $5.95. $11.95 for the drink in an Olaf souvenir sipper or $9.95 for just the Olaf sipper.

It should be noted that two of the drinks have blue curaçao listed as an ingredient. Blue Curaçao is an orange liquor, but as one commenter pointed out there are also non-alcholic syrups available from Torani and MONIN that are most likely being used. This also serves as a reminder that Disney Cruise Line allows you to bring your own alcohol aboard, and I can already think of a few of those drinks that could be made into adult beverages using rum…..
Olaf Photo Opportunity at Summertime Freeze
Olaf is officially a permanent resident of Castaway Cay. Before you say anything, I am not counting the movie theatre hula dancing Olaf that was placed outside the post office following the release of the film. The new Olaf figure will likely become a popular photo op for guests visiting the island.Above Olaf, there is a Sven inspired inner tube. The building also features some photos from Olaf’s personal collection from his off duty time exploring the island.
YOO HOO!!! Wander Oaken’s Trading Post and Sauna sign advertising his Big Summer Blowout sale and some shipping boxes are featured on one side of the building.
The other side of the building is the supply and ice area.
Finally, some no longer required winter sporting goods are on the back wall.We do not have plans to visit Castaway Cay until the fall. If you are sailing this summer, we’d love to see pictures of your drinks and hear what you think about these new frozen concoctions.
Hope it stays at least through next Summer as we don’t have a sailing booked to Castaway until next year!
It is a permanent structure. I do not see it going away for the considerable future. If anything, it would get re-themed.
Scott, it looks like it is ready to open. Will it be open by Sunday(5/17)? We are on a Dream cruise later this week.
Thanks.
Scott…
So funny…”and I can already think of a few of those drinks that could be made into adult beverages using rum”… Gave me a little chuckle! “ll have to bring one of those tiny rum bottles with me to liven them up!!
I suspect that all of these drinks are considered non-alcoholic. Monin and Torani make blue curacao syrup.
I originally thought all the drinks were going to be non-alcoholic, but then we saw Blue Curacao. We were not aware of any non-alcoholic syrups. Thanks for sharing this information which I will use to update the original article.
Actually a Castaway Cay Port Adventure question -only place I saw that I could leave a somewhat related topic: The Glass Bottom Boat tour – does anyone know how fun it is or is not? I have some co-workers going on DCL, gave them huge amount of tips/advice/etc and then they asked about this specific excursion. Honestly, I haven’t done this specific excursion so seeking honest feedback if you have done this tour. Thanks
