Disney Wonder to Skip May 12, 2015 Call in Puerto Vallarta Due to Unrest in the Surrounding Area

Guests currently sailing aboard the Disney Wonder have been notified that the itinerary for their 14-Night Westbound Panama Canal Cruise will be altered this week. On May 12th, the Disney Wonder originally scheduled to call on Puerto Vallarta will instead spend the day at sea due to reports of unrest in the area, as well as warning from the U.S. Embassy

    And today we have stopped in Guatemala for an medical emergency. Hoping the ill person is going to be okay.

    Were you told why were you stopping in Guatemala? How were you made aware about the unannounced “medical emergency” stop?

      A medical evac is not a secret. Often times there will be an announcement to give passengers the reason for the altered course. Additionally, pending on the port area a lifeboat may be used to transport the passenger to shore. Other times there may be an air lift and there is no hiding a helicopter hover above the ship, even if you cannot see it, you can hear it.
