Today, the Disney Wonder will say goodbye to PortMiami, and embark on a 15-night Westbound Panama Canal sailing scheduled to arrive in San Diego on May 17th. The upcoming Panama Canal cruise does not include a day at Castaway Cay, but will call on Key West, Cozumel, Cartagena, Puerto Vallarta and Cabo San Lucas.
San Diego will then host the Disney Wonder for a 2-Night Getaway Cruise to nowhere followed by another repositioning cruise, a 5-night San Diego to Vancouver sailing. According to Thursday’s Disney Parks Blog article the commemorative t-shirts which have been available for pre-order will be available on the ship.
Additionally, there is a commemorative pin available only onboard the Disney Wonder.
Bon Voyage!
Have you ever been on one of these cruises or thought about going on one? The price is really not that unreasonable for such a long cruise. My only problem would be getting that much time off work (at once). I would much rather do this one than the repositioning of the Magic to Europe.
We would love to do a PC sailing, but we missed our chance as our daughter is now in school. There is no way we could take her out of school for that long near the end of the school year.
We are doing the cruise to nowhere! So excited that my mini trip is almost here! Do you know if they will the Panama Canal shirts still available? I was hoping they will have something just for the 2 night but they probably won’t.
The recent 2-night cruise we were on did not have any special merchandise. There is a chance the PC shirts may be available, but I would not count on it. You could always ask in the gift shops if there are any available to purchase just in case.
The one in September is just a little too late after school opening, for I too have a child in school. Late August would get people like me to do one since our schools start after Labor Day. Maybe someone (DCL) might take that into consideration for families with school children in the northeast. I can hope……………….
YOLO!
Scott, I think your keyboard slipped. The 2014 PC Westbound does not stop at Key West as you can see in the map. The 2015 PC Westbound does and is therefore a day longer. Thank’s for all the great info on your blog.
Seems I got it wrong too 🙂 the 15 night Westbound this year has the stop in Key West, but the 2015 and this year’s Eastbound don’t. The map in the article is from the 2015 itinerary. Anyway: she will get to San Diego none the less.
I fixed the map. Thanks for alerting me to the mistake.
