Disney Cruise Line has again revised their Galveston Texas Itineraries. The big news this time around is that the rumored call on Jamaica is true, and officially confirms my speculation from July!
The new 7-Night Western Caribbean Cruise that includes Jamaica on Disney Wonder from Galveston, Texas will drop Costa Maya in favor of Falmouth.
Falmouth, one of the Caribbean’s best-preserved Georgian towns, guests can sample the city’s history and culture, take a trip through time on a horse-and-buggy ride, shop for arts and crafts and taste Jamaica’s signature jerk recipes. Bamboo raft rides along the Martha Brae River offer exceptional views of the island’s lush tropical scenery and nearby Ocho Rios is known for its spectacular Dunn’s River Falls. These revised itineraries begin September 2013.

What do you think about these revised itineraries?
I’m really sad that I can’t make it on the Jamaica ones as they are all during the school year, but I’m really interested in the 3 December ones that would be over Christmas break. Looking on the Disney Cruise site, they are not available yet for booking. Do we know when they will be? Anxious to see prices and be booked immediately before the go up if possible.
Kimberly,
I would not be so worried about not being able to sail to Jamaica in 2013. Based on my previous speculation Jamaica calls will continue in 2014 and beyond. The Late December dates will be available on Friday November 16th.
When do the Christmas activities on board begin? At the parks as soon as Halloween is over it is Christmas. We have sailed two times in December and seen all that DCL offers for Christmas, but what about November 2? Has a sailing that early historically included ginger bread house decorating, Christmas decorations, etc?
Not that early. Festivities begin around Thanksgiving. https://disneycruiselineblog.com/2012/09/celebrate-magical-winter-holidays-on-the-high-sea-with-mickey-the-gang/
Awesome! You’re great. Thank you!
I wish that the Disney wonder would come back to leaving From Seattle. it was such a nice way to leave this port and go North/ We had such a great time on the cruise for our 50th last year 2012
Thanks Wonder
There is an interview with Karl Holz where he mentioned Vancouver allows more time in the Alaskan ports.

if Disney would leave new Orleans it would be easier for them to get to castaway cay and eastern ports cause of the 200 mile closer distance from Galveston…
