Disney Treasure Construction Update: Captain Hook & Peter Pan Stern Characters Installed

Today, the Disney Parks Blog shared a new entry on the Disney Treasure Ship’s Log page showing an image of the Captain Hook and Peter Pan character figures installed on the stern of the Disney Treasure.

Both figures were carefully lifted by the shipyard team with cranes and securely bolted to the ship’s stern. The team at Meyer Werft Shipyard recently celebrated the installation of the character sculptures pictured below.

Before making their way to Papenburg, Germany, the sculptures were built in California. By the numbers: Peter Pan is over 9 feet tall and wears a size 36.5 shoe! Captain Hook and Peter Pan complement the Disney Treasure’s theme of adventure and add a touch of Disney magic to the classically designed exterior of the ship.

For reference, below are the original renderings of the Disney Treasure’s stern originally shared last summer.

The Disney Treasure is scheduled to debut this December sailing 7-night Eastern and Western Caribbean cruises from Port Canaveral, Florida.
