No swimming pool. Coco Cay and Harvest Cay still the best.
If you want a pool, stay on the ship.
Pools are on the ships.
Looks like a bit of a hike to the main beach area? We are walkers but this could be a bit of a challenge when it rains
Oh great. 3/4 of a mile walk to the beach for normal people. Unless you want to try to pack into a tram.
I hope they have some accommodations for getting from the ship to the tram. it looks like a very long walk and may be hard for some.
My post sounded negative. I didn’t mean for it to sound that way. I’m just worried about my mom being able to walk that distance. I love the look and the newness. It will be fun to just look around. And the pictures of the “sea shell” covers over the barbecue are just beautiful. I can’t wait.
Yea Shari looking like a 0.5 mile walk just from dock to shore and about 1.5 miles to the family beach (probably a 5k route there and back). The odd thing to me is the lack of separation between family beach and Serenity Bay. It seems like the Mabrika Cove area for family cabanas would make a better adult area. I’ve seen a lot of people complaining about lack of innovation and it being a Castaway Clone. I appreciate that they’re adding some Bahamian culture and probably trying to reduce environmental impact. The nature trail to the lighthouse should be cool and be a good photo spot. I’d rather be swimming or snorkeling in the water than on a mega water slide on land.
I would be happy with a Castaway Cay clone, but instead we got a knock off version that doesn’t have the same level of accessibility.
Really screwed up one of the greatest natural areas and beaches we had ever been to. But hey at least now there is a all you can eat BBQ.
