Enhanced Website Feature: Food & Drink Recipe Collection

Today, I am pleased to reintroduce the all-new Food & Drink Recipe Collection, a feature that was first introduced nearly a decade ago. Over the years the collection has grown and more recently, a treasure trove of recipes collecting digital dust on hard drive have been added.

The enhanced Food & Drink Recipe Collection, with well over 300 entires, is organized in categories in a similar fashion to what you may find in a cookbook or menu. At launch these categories include appetizers, blended beverages, breads, breakfast, cocktails (alcoholic and non-alcoholic/zero-proof), coffees, desserts, dips, entrées, salads, sauces, and soups.

The original recipe collection was not much more than an index linking to various PDF documents, images, blog posts, and external sites such as those shared the Disney Parks Blog. The all new food and drink recipe collection has been built from the ground up to display recipes in a standard format. Most recipes will include a link, or reference to the original source of the information if available.

There is also a “print recipe” button which will generate a printable version.

There are a number of recipes, specifically cocktail recipes that only list the ingredients – no measurements or preparation instructions. For these ingredient only cocktail recipes the idea was to present the ingredients as listed to help recreate the cocktail at home. For these, “ingredient only” recipes, I recommend experimenting based on the 2:1:1 ratio (two parts spirit, one part sweet, and one part sour.)

Additionally, links to various associated recipes can be found at the bottom of both the Venue and Menu pages. For example below the La Piazza menu and La Piazza venue pages.

For those wondering, the answer is yes – this is original project I teased over a year ago which was put on the back burner when I shifted focus to building the Disney Cruise Line Menu Archive & Explorer revealed last month.

If you have a different or more complete version of an existing recipe, or have any other recipes not listed let us know so they can be added to the Food & Drink Recipe Collection.
