Disney Cruise Line Announces Early 2024 Itineraries (December ’23 – May 2024)

Disney Cruise Line released their Early 2024 itineraries today for the fleet including an extension of Disney Wonder dates following the previously announced 2024 Australian and New Zealand sailings. The Disney fleet will be departing from a variety of popular ports including Port Canaveral, Fort Lauderdale, Galveston, New Orleans, Honolulu, and San Diego.

Disney Cruise Line is loading the early 2024 sailings so this remains a work in progress and will be updated multiple times today.

Today’s release extends the available sail dates through the early months of 2024.

DCL Early 2024 Booking Dates

While Early 2024 dates were announced today, general booking will not open until Thursday December 15th. The tiered booking period will begin December 12th for Castaway Club Members and some others. Please note, the new Pearl Castaway Club tier was announced, but Disney has yet to release additional details which they said will be revealed in 2023. As a result, the tier is not included as part of the tiered bookings, but I suspect it will be ready in time for the release of the Disney Treasure inaugural sailings.

  • Monday December 12th – Platinum Members, Golden Oak Club Members and Club 33 Members
  • Tuesday December 13th – Gold Castaway Club members
  • Wednesday December 14th – Silver Members, Disney Vacation Club Members and Adventures by Disney Insiders
  • Thursday December 15th, general public/first time cruisers will be able to book.

If you’re an existing Castaway Club member, simply log in to your account now to verify your Castaway Club status, so you’ll be all set to book on your designated date. Alternatively, you can call (800) 388-4513 starting at 8:00 AM Eastern Time or contact your travel agent.

Castaway Club members can book online beginning Monday! The only caveat is that this is for new bookings only as the website is still not set up to move a placeholder to a new booking. Those types of bookings will still require a phone call.

The following bears repeating, please do NOT try calling today to book; this will just clog up the phone lines and bog down the reservation cast members. There may be people attempting to book an available cruise vacation today.

For those looking for Summer 2024 dates, we anticipate the next release to occur sometime in the months of February and April based on the historical itinerary release cycle. However, considering the pattern was not followed for this release, your guess is as good as mine until release cycles normalize.

Below you will find a breakout by ship, but this is a WORK IN PROGRESS AND INCOMPLETE UNTIL THIS MESSAGE IS UPDATED Disney Cruise Line is still loading the sailings. I will be updating the website throughout the day as I load the sailings and upload the new itinerary maps. The best way to be alerted to updates is by following me on Twitter @TheDCLblog – I will tweet updates as I add the sailings to the website and update this article. At the very end, you will find Disney Cruise Line’s Itinerary Announcement press release.

Please note, the port order may be different and will be adjusted once the full detailed itineraries are available to view on Disney Cruise Line’s website. There are a number of conflicts at Castaway Cay that will be resolved once the actual itineraries for each sailing are revealed. Missing itinerary maps will also be added next week once the itineraries are verified.

A summary of Early 2024 opening day prices will be added and a link will appear HERE once published.

Is it the Spring or the Fall for Summer 2024 announcements:
“For those looking for Summer 2024 dates, we anticipate the next release to occur sometime in the fall sometime in the months of February and April …”

Same stuff, different year, kind of disappointing. You would think with all the ships they now have and all the destinations in the world they could come up with something new and different otherwise it’s been there done that (not that any Disney cruise isn’t enjoyable but get tired of going to the same places over and over).

So disappointed that they have replaced Cabo with Catalina and Ensenada on all the 4 night cruises from San Diego. Catalina and Ensenada are not appealing ports and that itinerary only has one at sea day vs 2 at sea days on the previous 4 night Cabo itinerary. Also surprised to see there are no 5 night Baja cruises on the new release. I guess I’ll have to book the 7 night. : )

Thank you. I’m disappointed. I thought with more ships they would do a few more longer itineraries. And no 7 day at all from New Orleans. I’ll still book something of course.

With DCL Castaway basing there cruise status on the number of cruises and not the number of nights on a ship, (2nights = 3, = 4 = 5 = 14 etc) We are just going to only do short back to back cruises – no long cruises until we reach the new “Pearl” status 🙂

Over on the itinerary announcement history page, you will see a summary of when seasonal releases have occurred along with an estimate on when the next release could happen. For Summer 2024, it is estimated to be announced sometime between February and April.
