Color Status Definitions

On February 9, 2022, the CDC amended its color-coding system for CDC’s COVID-19 Program for Cruise Ships to align with its revised investigation threshold. The “Orange” and “Yellow” ship colors were reversed for the COVID-19 Program for Cruise Ships to go in a more logical color order.

GreenNo reported cases of COVID-19 or COVID-19-like illness (CLI).
Yellow^Reported cases of COVID-19 are below the threshold for CDC investigation.
Orange^Reported cases of COVID-19 have met the threshold for CDC investigation.
RedReported cases of COVID-19 are at or above the threshold for CDC investigation. Additional public health measures are in place.
GrayOpted out of CDC’s COVID-19 Program for Cruise Ships. CDC has not reviewed or confirmed the cruise ship’s health and safety protocols.

Historically, the Disney Magic was last in green status back on December 27, 2021 under the CDC’s previous color code system.

No reported cases of COVID-19 or COVID-19-like illness (CLI). Does mean that meet and greets will be back to normal(e.g. that guests will be able to stand next right without been two meters from the or the characters standing behind the rope. And the oceanneer club and lab will back to full hours instead of one or two hours session. And that guests will not need to wear to mask to walk around the ship and the buffet restaurant allowing guests to pick their own food to put thier plates without the cast have put food on plates for the guests. And pools without limited capacity. and no social dissecting at Walt Disney theatre.

You do realize that Covid is far from over? And that no cases is a result of cautious protocols. Or do you not have any respect or empathy for those very protocols that keep people safe? Your comment smacks of privilege and selfishness.

The deadline to opt-in is 2/18/2022. At this time Norwegian is the only company with ships listed as participating. The dashboard will update after today with the changes. However, they have not been known to update the color status data on the weekends. Given this, I don’t expect any updates until Monday, February 21st.

@Carys Scott is not a part of DCL. He runs a personal blog that discusses all kinds of DCL related things. He has no answer to give you “ASAP”. If you want answers, you need to contact DCL directly. But they aren’t going to tell you what you clearly want to hear as DCL continues to have the health and safety of its crew, cast and guests as a paramount concern. Have a magical day.
