I hate this!!!! Sure DCL will let us change/cancel, but DCL forgot when they changed it that a lot of us were already on planes, in cars, etc on the way to Orlando. At this point, we’re in it for too much $$$ to change. I understand that the ports aren’t allowing us in, but they could have made this change a few days earlier when we could have changed plans.

@Linda, I disagree. A day at sea is much nicer than being docked in Nassau where you have ships on either side of you. I have been on cruises where DCL has happily announced we were going to be stopping at Nassau only to hear the moans of my fellow cruisers. I think the only ones who were happy were the gamblers on board or the passengers who were not familiar with the port. Not sure if you are cruising soon, but when you do I hope you have a lovely voyage. Happy, healthy 2022 to you and yours.

No port is ever guaranteed though. It’s in your contract with DCL. You can miss any port at any time. We’ve missed several ports and have had whole itineraries changed many times. That’s just how this works. We’ve never once had a bad cruise. You really shouldn’t chose cruising if missing a port will ruin your vacation.

Im on this cruise, and I’m more disappointed in how Disney Cruise Line has approached this issue. No incentives were offered by Disney Cruise Line in this messaging to customers to stay on the cruise or apologize for inconveniences. I paid for an Eastern Caribbean Cruise which comes with a higher price tag and now we are going on a Western Caribbean Cruise. I wish DCL would have been more empathetic in their messaging and offered a price adjustment at the very least. When I called in to ask if I could receive one, DCL said gave many excuses as to why they can’t do any price adjustments. This is our first Disney cruise and I booked it to receive industry-leading customer service. I have to say I’m disappointed in my experience thus far.

R Is right. I have had a western cruise changed to an eastern because of unforeseen occurrence. I just think some people wants something to complain about. They don’t understand that this is the new norm. Sometimes changes are for the better. For me and my family I want the better of what life have to offer. We will never be able to please everyone. If you cruise, enjoy it.?

We have the next turn around on the Fantasy next weekend. Good to be prepared for changes and stay flexible. I turn 50 on this cruise and will make the best of whatever situation pops up. To everyone cruising, stay healthy and have a safe cruise.
