Today, Disney Cruise Line emailed guests booked on the Disney Dream’s January 21, 2022 sailing with an itinerary change dropping Nassau from the original 3-night itinerary. A reason was not provided for the change other than”it is necessary to modify the order of your sailing’s itinerary. As a result, we will be unable to visit Nassau and will instead spend the day at sea.”
Earlier today, Disney informed guests sailing on Saturday’s Disney Fantasy 7-night Eastern the sailing is switching to a Western Caribbean Cruise. As a result, the Fantasy’s revised sailing is scheduled to visit Castaway Cay on Sunday which appears to be the driving factor for the Disney Dream’s itinerary change. As for the loss of Nassau, this could be a result of available berthing space on Sunday.
The Disney Dream’s revised itinerary, a 3-Night Bahamian Cruise from Port Canaveral moves up the stop at Castaway Cay followed by a day at sea.
The revised itinerary is as follows:
- Friday January 21, 2022 – Port Canaveral, Florida
- Saturday January 22, 2022 – Castaway Cay (previously Nassau, Bahamas)
- Sunday January 23, 2022 – At Sea (previously Castaway Cay)
Monday January 24, 2022 – Port Canaveral, Florida (Debarkation)
The email states a $200 onboard credit per stateroom will be added to the stateroom account for use during this cruise. This credit can be used toward any of your onboard purchases, including food and beverage, merchandise, premium events, and gratuities.
In addition, Disney Cruise Line will be providing each Guest with a 20 percent discount valid for a future sailing taken with Disney Cruise Line in the next 24 months, excluding the maiden voyage sailing of the Disney Wish on June 9, 2022.
