Disney Cruise Line announced an itinerary change for the Disney Wonder as they are closely monitoring a tropical depression in the Pacific Ocean that is forecasted to become Tropical Storm Pamela by this afternoon.
Based on the most recent weather forecast, it is unlikely that the Disney Wonder will be able to call on Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, on Wednesday. Therefore, the October 11, 2021 4-Night Baja Cruise from San Diego is being modified and will replace Cabo San Lucas with a stop in Ensenada, Mexico. The revised sailing is as follows:
- Monday October 11, 2021 – San Diego, California
- Tuesday October 12, 2021 – At Sea
- Wednesday October 13, 2021 – Ensenada, Mexico
- Thursday October 14, 2021 – At Sea
Friday October 15, 2021 – San Diego, California (Debarkation)
Any pre-reserved Port Adventures in Cabo San Lucas have been automatically removed from guest’s reservations. If Guests are interested in reserving experiences ashore in Ensenada, they may do so once onboard the ship through the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. At this time, this itinerary change is not reflected on Disney Cruise Line’s website or reservations.

While those ship are designed to weather such a storm, the last thing any cruise wants is a shipload of passengers & crew at risk. Not to mention coming down with a touch of mal de Mer. This is very proactive on the part of DCL as they really had no choice. Cabo or Ensenada??? Either port has its pluses. As far as my wife and I are concerned, those ships can steam around in circles just as long as we are on board!
I’m not surprised dcl does the all the time and all u get is a port refund. They did this to me on disney castaway cay when we already on the ship.
