The Pan Pacific is located in downtown Vancouver at Canada Place, the home of the cruise terminal used by the Disney Wonder. Depending on traffic, the Pan Pacific is roughly a 30-minute taxi from the
Vancouver Airport (YVR); alternatively you could take the Canada Line from YVR to the nearby Waterfront Station.
Pan Pacific Vancouver is billed as a luxury hotel with a variety of room types from standard rooms to suites. However, the real appeal of this hotel is the proximity to the cruise terminal. The hotel is part of the Canada Place complex which includes a World Trade Center, a conference center, and the cruise terminal.
The waterfront views offer a look at Stanely Park and mountains beyond North Vancouver.
During our stay, we had a deluxe harbor room looking out over the water which provided a wonderful view (more on this later).
The deluxe harbor rooms at the Pan Pacific Vancouver offer 2 double beds or 1 king-sized bed – we had the former which suited our family of 3 perfectly.
The rooms include many of the industry-standard amenities such as a safe, coffee maker, desk, and honor bar.
The bathroom was spacious and the shower included a bathtub which is important for those traveling with younger children. Since Disney Cruise Line includes hair dryers in the staterooms, it’s worth noting there was also one in the hotel room.
The Pan Pacific does offer guest high-speed internet access. It was free in the common areas, but in-room WiFi incurred a daily charge, $5.95 for basic or $14.95 for enhanced. I did purchase the regular offering and found it was more than adequate to get basic tasks done. I included a Speedtest below which was 5/5 when connected to a VPN. Later in the morning on embarkation day, the latency and the speeds started to degrade, but it was still adequate. As a bonus, the in-room guest WiFi was still available to use once I was onboard the Disney Wonder on the upper decks and Cabanas aft outdoor seating.

The Pan Pacific Vancouver’s fitness center is located near the cruise terminal entrance and is open from 4 AM to Midnight.
There is also a spa near the fitness center.
I mentioned earlier, the Pan Pacific Vancouver offers WONDERful views.
If I remember correctly, we were on the 15th floor, which is where the following time-lapse of the Disney Wonder’s arrival was filmed.
Luggage transfers from your room to the cruise terminal is available by contacting bell services.
Although it is welcomed offering, we did not use the baggage assistance from the hotel since our trek from our room to the elevator to the luggage drop was so short.
The Pan Pacific Vancouver is the obvious top choice of hotels when cruising the Disney Wonder, but there are plenty of other hotels in the downtown area that you could walk to from the cruise terminal. It is worth shopping around if you are planning to spend time in the area pre/post-cruise and using the hotel as a home base for your expiration of Vancouver because you are paying for the prime location when you book at the Pan Pacific Vancouver. Don’t get me wrong, the location cannot be beaten, and it was a great home base for our pre-cruise time in Vancouver.
Sure, I’d stay there again, but now that we’ve explored the downtown area and have a better lay of the land, we will compare other hotels next time when we have time before or after a cruise to explore the city. If we don’t have time and we are just flying in and out and we need a place to stay, then we are more than happy with our previous stays at the Abercorn Inn in Richmond. We managed to book the room at a little bit of a savings by going through Hotels.com and using a few $100 Hotels.com gift card purchased at BJs Warehouse for $85 each.

We did not have a cruise package booked and they offered us this service.
We stayed in the same type of room following a West Coast repositioning cruise just prior to the first Alaskan sailing. We found the hotel excellent, and would stay there again. Unfortunately, that particular sailing debarked at an alternate pier, since the pier normally used by the Wonder (next to the Pan Pacific) was already booked by another cruise line. So we used a shuttle for transportation to the Pan Pacific. Very convenient for what we wanted to do – walk around the area, catch a “hop on – hop off” touring trolley that went to all the major touring destinations, and also close to a restaurant serving poutine, which was a priority for my husband. It was a great stay and made debarking the Wonder a little easier, knowing there was more adventure to be had.
Quick Question – Is it necessary to book the Cruise Package in order to get the luggage transfer to the terminal? Thanks for all the great information!

We stayed right across the street at the Fairmont because the Pan Pacific was booked. Everything in that area is outrageously expensive. Hopefully you made it over to the Capilano Suspension Bridge park while you were there. Really beautiful over there and the tree walks are one of a kind.
A couple tips to your readers, there is a free shuttle over to Stanley or Capilano parks, take advantage of it. Also we went to McDonald’s in the food court below the Fairmont instead of paying $27 for 2 eggs and a couple pieces of bacon at the Fairmont ($60+ for breakfast for 2? Micky D’s never tasted so good).

We stayed there a few years ago when we did our AK cruise. It was excellent- not that far a walk from interesting spots like Gastown, plenty of interesting things nearby, great views of the seaplanes, and it’s right across from the Nine O’ Clock Gun.
Highly recommended, and we did use the cruise luggage drop. It couldn’t have been easier and came with an outstanding brunch.
