Disney Cruise Line Launches a Set Sail with Santa Sweepstakes

Disney Cruise Line is giving you a chance to celebrate the holidays at sea and indulge in fun and relaxation for everyone in the family on a Disney cruise with their Set Sail with Santa Sweepstakes.

The Set Sail with Santa Sweepstakes’ grand prize is a 4-night Bahamian cruise aboard the Disney Dream with stops in Nassau and Castaway Cay for the winner and up to 3 guests. The approximate retail value of the grand prize is $10263.32. Although the sweepstakes implies a holiday cruise, the rules mention the Grand Prize Trip must be taken between November 25, 2019 and October 26, 2020. The following sail dates are excluded 12/24/19, 12/31/19, 4/15/20, 5/27/20, 6/3/20, 6/10/20, 6/19/20, 7/3/20, or 7/17/20.

The Set Sail with Santa Sweepstakes runs from August 28, 2019 through September 25, 2019 and is open to legal residents of the 50 United States & District of Columbia and Canada (excluding Quebec), who are 18+ years at the time of entry. There is a limit of 1 entry per person per day. Potential grand prize winner will be notified by e-mail on or about September 26, 2019.

    They really overestimated the value of the prize – $10,000. Even with the airfare for four and ground transfers still not $10,000. If you win you have to pay taxes on that amount which for me would cost as much as paying outright for the cruise. Rip off.

    $10K???? I just looked up prices on 4 night cruises on the Dream. I can get a cat V Concierge for 7K on most dates. That would still leave $3K for air and transfers. Where are they getting these “values?”
