Disney Cruise Line is closely monitoring Hurricane Sergio, a major hurricane in the Pacific about 1200 miles west-southwest of the southern tip of Baja California with maximum sustained winds of 115 mph. The Disney Wonder is scheduled to sail from San Diego this evening on a 7-night Mexican Riviera Cruise with scheduled stops in Cabo San Lucas on Tuesday, Mazatlan on Wednesday, and Puerto Vallarta on Thursday before retiring to San Diego Sunday morning.
Disney Cruise Line stated in a email to guests, the Disney Wonder’s Mexican Riviera cruise itinerary may be modified in order to provide guests with a safe and comfortable sailing. At this time, the Wonder is expected to sail towards Cabo San Lucas, but guests are being told they may visit alternate ports or spending extra days at sea depending on the progression of Hurricane Sergio.

We have been closely monitoring the path and progress of Hurricane Sergio. Currently, the storm is a safe distance away and moving westward in the Pacific Ocean. However, the current forecast indicates that the storm will change paths later this week and move toward the Baja peninsula. Due to this forecast, it may be necessary to modify your cruise itinerary in order to provide you with a safe and comfortable sailing, including visiting alternate ports or spending extra days at sea.
Disney Wonder will sail on Sunday afternoon toward Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, while continuing to monitor the weather conditions closely. The safety and well-being of our Guests and Crew Members is always our first priority. The Captain will provide weather and itinerary updates throughout the voyage, as necessary.
