The Disney Fantasy, under the command of Captain Fabian, will forego Monday’s stop in Cozumel, Mexico due to a potential tropical cyclone in the the region and spend the day at sea. At this time the National Hurricane Center is monitoring system and expects it to become Tropical Storm Franklin overnight. As of this evening the forecast track does not have the system moving directly towards Cozumel. However, Cozumel is under a Tropical Storm warning.
Seas are forecasted to build to 8 to 10 feet across much of the northwest Caribbean due to the tropical system.
The information on the decision to alter the Disney Fantasy’s itinerary was received via a tweet from a passenger currently aboard the ship.

The remainder of the Disney Fantasy’s current 7-night Western Caribbean cruise remains unaltered at this time with a scheduled call in Grand Cayman on Tuesday, Falmouth on Wednesday and Castaway Cay on Friday.
