Special Offers on Disney Cruise Line Sailings as of 2/1/2016

The special offers from Disney Cruise Line continue to be very scarce. There is a new offer for for the Disney Magic’s Eastbound Transatlantic for U.S. Military Personnel along with a late February Disney Fantasy cruise for Florida residents. These rates are available to book today through Sunday, February 7, 2016, while inventory lasts.

Half Off Deposit Offer

DCL’s big foray into wave season seems to be a not really a deal promotion. Disney Cruise Line is offering guests 50% off the upfront deposit for sailings 7-nights or longer that do not require final payment at time of booking. The sailings must embark between August and December 2016. The reason I am calling this a not really a deal promotion is that the remainder of the required deposit and your remaining balance will be due at final payment. Basically, this wave season promotion is just offsetting half of your required deposit. DCL is NOT giving you any money off of the sailing. This “offer” will be good til March 27, 2016. Finally, this offer cannot be combined with any other offers or discounts.

Ok, ok. I realize not having to pay the full deposit up front is helpful, but compared to recent offers from Royal Caribbean this is underwhelming.
