In what may be the oddest story in recent Disney Cruise Line history, the report we shared on Saturday with a response from DCL’s Email Guest Services that room service favorites have been returned to the menu and corrected menus have been deployed in staterooms is true. Guests boarding the Disney Wonder today in San Juan found the following corrected, revised, [insert your own verb or if you accept DCL’s excuse… the “planned”] room service menu inserted into the stateroom directory of services.
As you can see, the first item on the menu is the All Hands on Deck cheese plate. Additionally, the Fresh Fruit Bowl and Buffalo Chicken Wings have returned. The same additions/changes noted a few days ago following the release of the original 2016 room service menu are still on this version. Finally, the in-room amenities section with the upcharge food offerings have disappeared from the menu. Frankly, there was no reason to remove these items especially considering the $38 cheese and fruit platter is an upgraded offering with is not far off from land based artisan cheese platters.
I’d like to thank Nicole Castellans and Cherokee Retrievers for emailing photos of this latest version of the room service menu!

No Salad Nicoise 🙁
Now, can you work your magic on the alcohol policy? 😀
James, I am just on voice. If DCL really felt my voice had any impact they’d answer more than 1% of my emails. It will take entire villages of people contacting them about the alcohol policy and follow through with threats of booking another cruise line. As long as bookings are not down they will not care.
I wrote DCL regarding this policy change using the link you provided. They followed up with a call to me last week notifying us of the policy revision you posted above. I rarely use room service on the ship, but the principle of being nickel and domed just bugged me. I am not so bothered with new offerings that have an incremental costs (gelato, for example). It really helps when you provide the link in this blog, I have only written DCL on two occasions; both times I have had a personal call from someone in the executive offices and have been more than satisfied with the response.
We just returned from a 7 day Southern Caribbean cruise on the Wonder and was disappointed not to see the corrected menu. All Hands on Deck and chicken wings were available if you knew to ask room service for them, but there were off the menu.
Corrected: We just returned…and were disappointed…but they were off the menu.
So no Mickey bars???
The Mickey Bars have never (I could be wrong) been listed on the room service menu, but they have for the most part always been available when requested.
is this still the current menu?
