As promised in our trip report, here is video of Disney Cruise Line’s Frozen inspired, Freezing the Night Away with Anna, Elsa and Friends deck party. The video was recorded aboard the Disney Magic at 8PM on July 6, 2015 while sailing the Eyjafjörður after our day in Akureyri, Iceland.
I will admit it is not the best video; I did not plan enough time to get a spot on deck. Honestly, I underestimated the turnout. As a result, I did not have a chance to mount the camera on a deck 10 railing with a Gorilla pod as I originally planned.
The scheduling of the show was perfect as the Eyjafjörður provided a gorgeous backdrop for the show.
I was there too – in fact, now you mention you had a Gorilla Pod, pretty sure I saw you as we were both prowling around trying to find a decent spot as I got caught out by all the people too.
I’d actually checked it out hmm, maybe 15 minutes beforehand and it was completely deserted – guess people were all inside due to the wind and ready to pounce, argh.
It reminds me though, I still need to get my version edited, think I might just do a highlights version though hehe.
What a fun show! It had a great turnout. Thanks for sharing the video!
Everyone has their hands in their pockets!
It was really cold.
At least it was pretty. Our Alaskan Frozen party was very cold and raining to boot. Really felt sorry for all of the little ones that dressed up for the party. We lasted about 20 minutes and had to leave it was so bad out.
Do a lot of people dress up for it? Like the pirate party?
Not that I noticed. There were kids wearing Anna & Elsa dresses, but it was really cold on this particular night.
