Disney Cruise Line is alerting guests booked aboard the July 25, 2016 and August 8, 2016 7-Night Alaskan Cruise – Itinerary A that they should plan to board the ship by 3:00 PM local time, one hour earlier than original scheduled. On these two dates, the Disney Wonder will be departing Canada Place Cruise Terminal at 4:00 PM.
Additionally, DCL is suggesting guests flying in to Vancouver on embarkation day should arrive at the airport before noon to allow adequate time for customs and immigration as well as travel time to the port.
Below is a copy of the email from DCL.
Thank you for selecting a Disney Cruise Line vacation. We’re glad that you are sailing with us from Vancouver.
For Guests sailing on the July 25, 2016, and August 8, 2016, 7-night cruises to Alaska, there has been a change in the required arrival time at the Canada Place Cruise Terminal in Vancouver. We ask that all Guests plan to arrive by 3:00 p.m. at Canada Place Cruise Terminal to complete the check-in process in a timely manner prior to the ship’s departure at 4:00 p.m.
We regularly advise Guests that they must arrive for their sailing by 4:00 p.m. on day of embarkation in order to sail. With the ship now departing at 4:00 p.m., we want to make you aware of this change so that you can plan to arrive no later than 3:00 p.m. to complete the check-in process on the day of sailing.
Guests with independent airline arrangements should plan to arrive in Vancouver on or before 12:00 noon on the day of sailing to allow time for Canadian Customs and Immigration inspections.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. We look forward to seeing you next year!
Sincerely,
The Cast and Crew
Disney Cruise Line
Thank you Heather Jarrett for sharing this information with us.
Interesting. It is going to take a lot to get the ship out in 1 hr less time.
I’m booked on the Aug 8 sailing and I received the email and was sort of wondering at the change. It doesn’t change my plans any. We are ready to jump on board as soon as we can but I wonder why they are leaving an hour earlier.
