The results of Travel+Leisure’s 2014 19th Annual World’s Best Awards were announced this morning with Disney Cruise Line being named the number one Top Mega-Ship Cruise Line and Top Mega-Ship Cruise Line for Families. According to T+L’s editor-in-cheif, Nancy Novogrod, Disney Cruise Line which in the past has been named the #1 family cruise line moved to the top of the list of mega-crusie ships (capacity of 2,200 passengers or more) for the first time as a result of great service, food, onboard experience and terrific excursions and activites for all ages.

In 2013, Celebrity Cruises edged out Disney Cruise Line in the category by a margin of only 0.2 points. This year, DCL edged out Celebrity by almost a full point. Disney Cruise Line also topped the list as Top Mega-Ship Cruise Line for Families of the sixth consecutive year.
