Walt Disney World Passholder Mickey Monitor Winter 2013 & SEAsons’s Greetings Merchandise

The Winter 2013 Passholder Mickey Monitor arrived with teasers for events happening now through January 2014 at Walt Disney World. I did not find any Disney Cruise Line mentions in this issue, but if you are planning a stay on property before, or after your next Disney Cruise you may find some of the information useful.  The Winter issue features some key dates for various holiday actives around the World from Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party to the schedule of narrators for this season’s Candlelight Procession at Epcot. A holiday gift guide is included in this newsletter with items ranging from pins to the ultimate driving experience.  However, my favorite item is a Mike Wazowski shirt where he is decorated with Christmas lights! Over at Epcot’s Norway Pavilion you can now meet Anna and Elsa from Disney’s new movie Frozen. Magic Kingdom’s Celebrate the Magic show has been updated with an all new sequence has been added celebrating Frozen.

Finally, there is some information with regard to Disney’s MyMagic+ initiative.  Essentially, it is pointing to a 2014 rollout for both FastPass+ and MagicBands for annual passholders.

Exclusive SEAsons’s Greetings Merchandise

To go along with the holiday gift guide and the pins we shared a few days ago, here are a few more items that are exclusive to the Disney Cruise ships. A shirt and ornament featuring Steamboat Willie all deck out in his yuletide gear that you may find on one of the Very Merrytime Cruises.

UPDATE: Disney has updated their site with a PDF.

    Scott,
Can you get that Steamboat Willie shirt off the ship? We are going on a New Years Cruise this year and would like to have beforehand. Thanks

Thanks Scott. Great shirt, would definitely sell.
On another note, what would your pick be for an oceanview room(other than the secret porthole rooms) on the Magic? Higher deck? Our New Years cruise in on the Dream(8A mini suite, unbelievable 3 time, booked for Fantasy in Oct) and was wondering if there were anything close to that style. We plan on booking the Magic on the Dream cruise. Thanks.

          Hi Andy! I’m Emily, Scott’s wife 🙂

Sadly, there isn’t anything close to those amazing Dream/Fantasy 8A rooms on the classic ships. To be honest, we were on deck 2 on the Magic once, and we did not like it (we were on deck 2 on the Dream and had a totally different & enjoyable experience). We were ‘upgraded’ to a Cat 9C, room 2628 and it was noisy! We’ve sworn off deck 2 on the classics.

If it were us, & we had to give up our verandah for an oceanview, we would choose a Cat 9A or the secret porthole rooms in Cat 10A. We would personally recommend the higher deck.

          Hope this helps!

Thanks Emily. Looking forward to the Dream again, and yes the 8A cabins are amazing. We just happened to luck out on our first Dream cruise. I was blown away at the space.
