Disney Cruise Line Releases Q3 2013 Voluntary Crime Allegation Disclosure Report

Late last month, Disney Cruise Line published their Q3 – 2013 Voluntary Crime Allegation discloure report for the period July 1 – September 30, 2013. During this period there were 3 claims reported with only one, a theft, involving an allegation by a passenger against a crew member. The other allegations were between passengers including one that specifically states it was among family members. According to the latest report, these allegations were reported to the appropriate law enforcement and government authorities.

The decrease in total passengers from Q2 to Q3 2013 can partially be attributed to the Disney Magic’s extended dry dock which did not embark on any new passenger sailings in September 2013. It is also important to note that reports for quarters with zero claims do not include total passenger numbers or crew numbers.  However, the daily crew numbers seem fixed on these reports so I’ve carried that number over for the months without any claims.

Disney Cruise Line Voluntary Reporting Data October 2013

According to the voluntary reports published to date by Disney Cruise Line, to the best of Disney Cruise Line’s knowledge, no charges have been filed in any of these alleged incidents.

This past August, DCL joined other cruise lines by voluntarily providing this information on their website.
