Fog Delaying the Magic in Galveston – DCL Issues Travel Advisory 1/12/2013

Disney Cruise Line has issued an updated travel advisory for the [Disney_Magic] which was delayed this earlier today due to heavy fog.  Passengers schedule to sail today are being asked to arrive no later than 9:00 PM.

Galveston Weather Delay

Updated as of 4:10 p.m. Eastern Time on January 12, 2013

The port area in Galveston, Texas, has re-opened and the Disney Magic® is currently beginning the debarkation process of the previous voyage. Once all guests have disembarked and U.S. Customs has cleared the ship, we will begin the boarding process for today’s sailing.

For the comfort and convenience of everyone and due to the capacity limitations of the terminal building, Guests that are sailing today and have not arrived at the terminal are asked to delay their arrival by six (6) hours after their selected port arrival time. We anticipate sailing late this evening and ask that all Guests arrive no later than 9:00 p.m. to complete the boarding process.

While we will be embarking Guests late this evening, please know that due to the nature of any weather condition, it is possible that further delays may occur. We will continue to monitor the fog conditions closely and will provide updates as needed.

For additional details and the most up-to-date information on this delay, Guests are invited to call 1-866-325-4243.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this unexpected weather delay and look forward to welcoming you onboard real soon!
