Reminiscent of the classic ocean liners, each of the Disney Cruise Line ships features two sleek and graceful funnels. Early on in the design phase, the funnels quickly became the focal point of the ship design. While only one funnel is necessary on modern ships, Disney Cruise Line executives discussed the possibility of three before settling classic two.
The smoke stacks on the Disney Cruise Line fleet are one of my favorite design features. I love the classic look and, as designed, the first thing I notice. In fact, I know our cruise is about to begin as we summit the bridges on Bennett Causeway and get the first glimpse of the iconic funnels on the horizon welcoming us to the port.
