3-Night Bahamian Cruise from Port Canaveral, Florida
Embarking from Port Canaveral, Florida on Thursday, September 16, 1999
Captain: Unknown
Cruise Director: Unknown
Hurricane Floyd will force Disney's Wonder cruise ship to unload its 2,000 passengers at Port Everglades today. The Wonder, which left Sunday and has been riding out the storm in Key West, would normally return to Port Canaveral, but officialsweren't sure the port would be open when they made docking plans. The port, which sustained only minor damage, is expected to reopen to cruise ships this morning. Disney's Magic, which sailed Monday, is in Mexico and will return Friday to Port Canaveral. The Wonder will sail from Port Everglades Thursday night and call on Nassau Friday. Disney officials are still evaluating damage at Castaway Cay, its private island in the Bahamas. All workers were evacuated from the island on Tuesday. Source
