Hurricane Ernesto began as a tropical depression during the last week of July 2012. Ernesto became a tropical storm on August 2, 2012. On August 3, 2012 DCL swapped the Disney Fantasy’s scheduled 7-Night Western Caribbean with a 7-Night Eastern to avoid the storm. On August 7, 2012 Hurricane Ernesto made landfall with a direct hit on Costa Maya, Mexico.
