Today, Disney Cruise Line revealed that the delivery of the Disney Adventure will be delayed by three months due to unexpected delays in transforming the partially completed ship into a Disney experience at sea. This ship, purchased in November 2022, is being completely reimagined to deliver Disney storytelling and innovation at sea in ways never before seen. To ensure every detail meets the high standards guests expect, Disney Cruise Line made the difficult decision to postpone the Disney Adventure’s maiden voyage from December 15, 2025, to March 10, 2026. As a result, cruises up to and including March 12, 2026, will be cancelled.
“As we work on the final touches to bring the Disney Adventure to our guests, we’ve encountered unexpected delays in the shipbuilding process,” said Joe Schott, President of Disney Signature Experiences. “To ensure the experience we deliver reflects our commitment to excellence, we’ve made the decision to adjust our timeline. We know this may be disappointing to our guests, and we’re working directly with them to offer flexible rebooking options and uphold the trust they place in us.”
Guests booked on the Maiden Voyage will automatically be moved to the March 10th Maiden Voyage sailing and will receive a 50% off the sailing. For guests unable to move to the new date, Disney Cruise Line will extend a 50% off future cruise credit which can be used fleet wide on a cruise departing on or before March 31, 2027 when booked before March 31, 2026.
Guests booked on the other 24 sailings between December 18, 2025 and March 12, 2026, will receive an automatic refund and extended a 50% off future cruise credit which can be used fleet wide on a cruise departing on or before March 31, 2027 when booked before March 31, 2026.
The 50% future cruise discount is applicable only to the eligible Guest’s voyage fare for a new booking. It cannot be applied to existing bookings or any other costs or charges, including but not limited to, Taxes, Fees and Port Expenses. Guests are responsible for any balance due after the discount has been applied. The future cruise discount is non-transferable and has no cash value; it is valid only for the named Guest booked on the cancelled sailing as determined by Disney Cruise Line in its sole discretion. Once a reservation is made with the future cruise discount, no name changes will be allowed to the reservation; a name change will void the future cruise discount and the prevailing rate will be applied. The future cruise must be booked by March 31, 2026, and must depart on or before March 31, 2027. The future cruise discount is not combinable with any other offers or discounts, and it cannot be combined with another future cruise discount. Blockout dates apply. Limit one (1) future cruise discount per eligible Guest per cancelled sailing. Subject to the Disney Cruise Line terms and conditions.
