Disney Treasure Construction Update: Staterooms Installation Complete

Today, the Disney Parks Blog posted an update to the Disney Treasure construction ship log. As of a few weeks ago, the final stateroom was installed on the ship at Meyer Werft Shipyard in Papenburg, Germany.

The process of positioning all 1,246 rooms inside the ship was quite an undertaking which started when each cabin was prefabricated at an off-site factory on a slow-moving conveyor belt. As the cabins moved down the line, different team members went to work building out various components of the rooms, from the plumbing to the furniture and everything in between. Once each cabin was completely outfitted, they were loaded onto semi-trucks and individually transported to the yard. From there, they were carefully lifted by cranes and slotted into position within the Disney Treasure.

The progress photos show how each stateroom features a fresh, natural color scheme and custom artwork.

The Disney Treasure will be launching this December.

I prefer the color pallet of the Wonder/Magic and Dream/Fantasy. With the exemption of the headboard artwork, the rooms look like a boring generic hotel.

Lovely room. TV is still not by the sofa. So sad. Was hoping they would fix some things that just dont work.

The “Treasure” and “Wish” are perfect representations of how soulless and cash obsessed Disney became during the Chapek error. It is too bad they didn’t change course and fix some of these issues after his ouster.

I think Iger and D’Amaro deserve much of the blame as well. I think everyone uses Chapek as an excuse but he was just following the marching orders already done. The changes and ships were placed by them

As an older sailor (Marine)…. I prefer the older ship themes, Dream is our favorite, she took us through Hurricane Dorian. However, I do enjoy the lighter color of the rooms. As the rooms are “small”, the lighter color opens it up and makes it feel fresh and relaxing. There are many things about the Wish we do not prefer, but different is not always wrong, just different. There are some NICE rocking chairs up top on the WISH where you can easily fall asleep under the stars with no one around. Getting ready to head out on our 4th Double Dip this weekend to Castaway. Unfortunately, it seems it will be one of the last… We have sailed all the ships and will continue to do so.

The color consultant must be the same person who designed the color scheme of the character Knit Knots on the show “Imagination Movers”. Everything for the character was beige.

I love the classic ocean liner look of the older ships. On the other hand, the carpet in the suites (which I have never stayed in, to be clear) is some of the ugliest I have ever seen, so at least this isn’t that.
