Disney Dream Converting Select Staterooms to Concierge Level Staterooms – Now Bookable as GTY for 10/20/2024 and Beyond

Following the Disney Dream’s European season, several category 4A Deluxe Family Oceanview staterooms with Verandah staterooms will be converted to concierge level 3A staterooms. These soon to be converted staterooms are currently bookable for sailings beginning on October 20, 2024, the Disney Dream’s 13-night Westbound Transatlantic Cruise from Southampton to Fort Lauderdale as Concierge guaranteed staterooms.

A Guaranteed Stateroom or GTY stateroom is a room in which Disney Cruise Line selects your specific stateroom within the category level you booked or even a higher category. As a result, you are not able to select a specific stateroom as the exact room will be assigned to you by Disney Cruise Line by the time you arrive at the cruise terminal.

So far, I’ve discovered the select 4A staterooms being converted to 3A concierge staterooms are located within the block of the 4A staterooms on deck 10 midship. Below is a look at the block of 4A staterooms on deck 10 midship as of today.

This Westbound Transatlantic cruise follows what we expect to be over a month long dry dock period for the Disney Dream which returns from a British Isles cruise on September 15th, and does not sail again until the transatlantic crossing on October 20, 2024.

I’m confused. They’re adding 70 rooms to Concierge? Have you ever seen the Disney Dream Concierge Lounge? It’s tiny! How do they think they’ll get another 300 humans in there? Or am I reading this incorrectly? Or are they expanding the concierge lounge size to be more like the Wish?

I don’t think it’s the entire block. Scott just says they’re “located within” that block of cabins. The related posts above talk about concierge conversions on the Magic and Wonder, and only a handful of 4A cabins were converted. I’ll probably never book concierge, but seems weird to be in such a remote location relative to the lounge.

I simply counted the rooms you highlighted in your block. About 35 on each side of the hall. So assumed 70’ish rooms were being added on level 10 mid-ship. did I misinterpret what you said and had drawn?

I was simply highlighting the existing 4A staterooms on deck 10 midship: “the select 4A staterooms being converted to 3A concierge staterooms are located within the block of the 4A staterooms on deck 10 midship”

They are adding these before the 130 day concierge window opens, wonder if they will be able to vie for a cabana?

Seems Disney continues to squeeze out the average cruiser. Soon you will need to save for 20+ years to go on a Disney cruise

Those cat 4A deck 10 rooms are below the pool deck. Why would anyone pay for concierge to be directly below the pool deck and listen to stomping and screeching chairs on your roof? Also, one of the perks of concierge is to be able to duck into the concierge lounge and pick up free alcoholic beverages or for food. These deck 10 rooms would be considerable distance from the lounge compared to the current concierge rooms. Wonder if they’ll price these less or charge the same as the proper concierge rooms that are not below the pool and next to the lounge?

I’m on a Dream sailing in November and the new GTY rooms are the same price for a family of 4 that I’m paying for Deck 12. Agree wholeheartedly with your take!

Our first trip on the Dream was on Deck 10. It is noisy especially at night when crew is cleaning up Deck 11 and moving furniture around. I’ve never booked that deck again on either ship.

Those are directly below the pool decks, so not ideal, and pretty far from the lounge. I wonder if they would price them to reflect that. Concierge or not, without additional cabanas at Castaway, or some other value adds to accommodate the additional pax in Concierge lounge, they really run the risk of crowding out the CC level. People already find the Wish CC experience to be pretty crowded and impersonal (and lots of unhappy pax not getting Cabanas, etc.), which is the opposite of what people are opting for with CC. Who wants to be sending midnight emails when you’re paying a premium and still not getting your requests met? We were about to book the Dream or Fantasy for Feb in CC and now I’m wavering.

Hearing rumor that Dream concierge lounge will be expanded into existing Senses area on 12 while in dry dock. Also posibility of galley being added for hot food (like wish)

A lounge expansion is quite possible as this tidbit has been circulating for a few years now. However, until details appear on a sitemap, or are announced, it is just a rumor.
