Appointment Time Based Pre-Booking of Spa Treatments Beginning with Early October Voyages

Recently a change was made to the way Disney Cruise Line handles onboard spa pre-bookings. Rather than booking a specific treatment, guest can now reserve an actual appointment time on a given date pending availability. This pre-booking change is effective for sailings beginning October 2, 2023, and beyond.

Disney Cruise Line guests will now book an appointment time slot, rather than a specific treatment, for many of our spa and salon offerings. Guests can pre-reserve an appointment time based on a time block for a general treatment type, with the specific treatment selected at the time of service.

While many treatment options are moving to appointment-based bookings, some treatments will continue to be booked on an individual basis. Offerings may vary by ship.

I noticed this when signing up for the spa for our October sailing. Its a little frustrating since you have no idea of the cost of the options (they just give you a range for the things that can fall in that time slot). The one thing I was concerned about was what happens if you sign up because you want a certain type of appointment and you show up and for some reason they say they can’t do that specific one. Does that mean you have to choose something else or get hit with a fee for cancelling? For example its probably easy to flip between different type of massages, those likely will always be options. But I signed up for a salon appointment and that has things ranging from Hair styling/cut to teeth whitening to makeup. Say I sign because I want one of the services – if they say that’s no longer available in my slot am I stuck with having to pay for one of the others I have no interest in?

I cannot imagine a scenario where you’d be forced to select something else. If this is the case, I’d visit guest services and if need be, request a conversation with the hotel director.

It is not uncommon to experience issues on DCL’s website. Perseverance often pays off, but sometimes calling and adding it over the phone is the easiest way. When calling, the cast member may be able to explain the issue on the website.

I am having the same issue……the Rainforest is not even showing as an option on my October 17 sailing. I just called DLC, and they told me that booking the Rainforest Pass is only available by going to Senses in person once onboard?????!!!!! Scott, is this option only offered on select ships or itineraries?
