A recent update to Disney Cruise Line’s DisneyBand+ information page suggests sales for the waterproof wristband are now available for upcoming Disney Wish sailings starting on June 12, 2023. This has also been confirmed by a number of guests with upcoming bookings who were able to submit orders this morning.
UPDATE: DisneyBand+ is now available for purchase for guests sailing onboard the Disney Wish beginning June 12th and beyond, who are within 45-11 days of their sail date and paid in full.
As of May 24th, this section of DCL’s DisneyBand+ page displayed similar information, but did not include the Order My DisneyBand+ button, or the mention of June 12th in the offer details.
How to Purchase a DisneyBand+
According to the information currently published on DCL’s website, guests can order a DisneyBand+ by visiting the My Reservations area on DisneyCruise.com between 11 and 45 days of your sail date. Your cruise must be paid in full, and DisneyBand+ are available while supplies last. Shipping is available to US addresses only (excluding PO Boxes, APO, FPO, DPO, or any cruise ports).
Save $10 on each DisneyBand+ when you purchase before your sailing! Offer valid for US residents only traveling on the Disney Wish starting on June 12, 2023. Order must be placed at least 11 days before sailing. Reservation must be paid in full.
At the time of publication, DCL’s How to Purchase DisneyBand+ FAQ page was not updated and still suggests checking back at a later time for more information.
Sailing on another Disney cruise ship? For now, this is exclusive to the Disney Wish, but is expected to roll out across the fleet as Disney says to check back for more information on the DisneyBand+ information page.
The DisneyBand+ will enable guests to experience the newest technology at sea, and see all the ways in which DisneyBand+ can create magic on their sailing. From boarding the ship on embarkation day and accessing their stateroom, to charging specialty food and merchandise to the payment card on a stateroom folio and more, DisneyBand+ adds convenience, fun and more magic to a Disney cruise. Guests with a Walt Disney World Resort or Disneyland Resort MagicBand+ may also use it as a DisneyBand+ when sailing with Disney Cruise Line, starting with the Disney Wish preview this June.
DisneyBand+ Ordering Process
Below we are going to take a closer look at the current DisneyBand+ ordering process on Disney Cruise Line’s website. Start by logging into Disney Cruise Line’s website and click on My Reservations under the Already Booked tab.
Under Cruise Details, select Purchase DisneyBand+.
A summary page will appear showing the various members of your reservation. Click Get Started.
There you will work through each guest one at a time by clicking the Select button under the guest name.
The next page is where you can pick your DisneyBand+ design. There are filters for narrowing down the list of the currently available 55 designs.
While there are a limited number of Disney Cruise Line designs, there are also designs available from the theme park selection which on land would be called MagicBand+.
Once a design is chosen, you are asked to personalize the band with a name up to 9 characters. This name will be printed on the back (inside) of the DisneyBand+.
Please, note the special pre-arrival $10 off the onboard price of each band that is currently being offered.
Once all bands for your reservation are selected and personalized you can proceed to the checkout process.
The checkout process shows a summary of the order.
Upon checkout, you will be sent to a Congratulations! order complete screen showing your order number.
Given the number of people already with a smart watch, why is this still a thing?
When will this be available on the other ships?
No timeline has been given. The Wish was built with DisneyBand+ in mind, so the ship is setup to make the best use of the technology and the perfect ship to test given the high number of passengers with pre-/post-cruise stays at Walt Disney World.
