On November 27, 2022, Ems-Dollart Media shared a video showing one of the first hull block sections of the Disney Treasure as it was being transported towards the Meyer Werft’s shipyard in Papenburg, Germany.
Special thanks to Ems -Dollart Media for continuing to keep us up to date on the progress of the new Disney Cruise ship builds. Check out their Instagram account for some more updates as they are posted.
Disney Treasure Construction Updates
Meyer Werft – Papenburg, Germany
Major Construction
Looks like a great start. We enjoy these progress reports on the construction of these ships. While its Disney’s choice to have the shipyard camera turned off/blacked out, I liked seeing the progress of the FANTASY. Then we have the special reports that come out from Disney being shown on this blog!
Hopefully we get a better name now that Iger is back. There was no question that treasure/cash was all that mattered the last few years with he who will not be named ruining, I mean running, things but I know Disney has done better in the past and can do better in the future.
I still think Disney missed the “boat” so to speak…with Disney+ they had an opportunity to do a docuseries style show on the making of the Disney Wish…doubt they will with the Treasure or the next ones…but would have be interesting seeing some of the build process without giving away some of the Disney Magic…
Keep an eye out for The Making of the Disney Wish on National Geographic closer to Christmas. I haven’t written up the story yet as I am still waiting for more details.
Hey Scott – any update on the special? That would be one heck of a Christmas gift!
