Disney Wish Float Scheduled to Return for the 96th Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade on November 24, 2022

Magic Meets the Sea returns to the streets of New York City when the Disney Cruise Line parade float returns for the 96th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. The float made its debut in 2021 in an effort to promote the summer 2022 launch of the Disney Wish.

Captain Minnie Mouse & friends are at the helm as Disney Cruise line’s float makes its second trip to the Big Apple. Modeled after their newest ship, the Disney Wish, which made its maiden voyage this summer. it features classic filigree trim on the bow; plus Mickey-shaped porthole mirrors allow spectators to see themselves on a Disney Cruise.

According to Disney, this year’s live parade performance will be inspired by one of the new Broadway-style shows on board the Disney Wish, “Disney Seas the Adventure.” Minnie Mouse, Mickey Mouse and Goofy will lead an incredible cast of performers and Disney characters in this show-stopping number.

According to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade website, the Disney Cruise Line float is the first parade float that is longer than the float bed; the bow of the ship juts out eight feet.

Here is a look at the float during it’s inaugural voyages through the streets of New York City featuring a performance by Jordan Fisher signing “Together We Set Sail” which turned out to be a preview of the new Set Sail on a Wish sail away deck party.

The 96th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will air nationwide on NBC, Thursday, November 24, 2022 from 9:00 am. to noon, double check your local listings as the official information says this is the air time in all time zones.
