This week Disney Auditions put out a casting call for Character performers interested in auditioning for upcoming Marvel Day at at Sea cruises including a new onboard character on my radar Shuri. Oh, and they are also looking for performers to fill some Star Wars roles for C-3PO and Storm Troopers.

Disney Cruise Line® is seeking Character performers to portray various Super Heroes for the new season of Marvel Day at Sea aboard the Disney Dream. Look-Alike roles for staged events, immersive meet & greet, productions, and surprise happenings!

Must be available approximately October 15, 2022 to December 19, 2022 – AND – January 2, 2023 to March 9, 2023.

Performers will be hired as onboard Crew, and must complete all application, pre-employment and onboarding requirements; including criminal background check, and medical. Contract will include rehearsal and performance rate, contract completion bonus, meals while onboard, travel and shared housing.

Select candidates will be considered on the following; including but not limited to height, look, martial arts or combat skills, and acro. Some roles need strong acting ability. Select performers will learn a movement combination, and may be fitted for costuming approvals.

SEEKING:

• Groot: 6’2” to 6’4”, slender build.
• Spider-Man: 5’7” to 5’9” slender build.  Fully costumed.
• Black Panther: 5’11” to 6’1” slender build.  Fully costumed.  Must learn a South African Xhosa dialect. 
• Shuri: 5’5″ – 5’8″
• Ant-Man: 5’10” to 6’, slender build.
• The Wasp: 5’6” to 5’8”
• Iron-Man: 6’ to 6’4” trim build. Fully costumed. 

Additional needs for regular cast contract:

• C-3PO: 5’7” to 5’9”, trim build.
• First Order Stormtrooper: Will also portray other sculpted characters in the DCL offering.  5’11” to 6’1”, trim build. 

In-person audition will be held Saturday, July 16 in Orlando, FL. Candidates who meet character height requirements, the below requirements and are interested in attending should click HERE to express interest in attending. Candidates will be notified via e-mail on July 8 concering their audition status. Please know, not all candidates who submit interest will be invited to the in-person audition. Those candidates who are invited to the July 16 in-person audition in Orlando must attend the audition in order to be considered.

Deadline to submit interest is July 5 by 3pm EST.

For 2023, days the Avengers will be assembling on the Disney Dream on elector following dates between January and early March.
